Application

We encourage anyone interested in participating in one of the SCI-Step Recovery Programs to complete an application.

We would love to give everyone the opportunity to reach their recovery goals but due to the specialized care that some individuals may require, we have implemented the following program exclusions**:

	Less than 60 days post injury
	Severed spinal cord
	Significant cognitive impairment
	Symptomatic fall in blood pressure greater than 30 mm Hg when upright
	Halo or other cervical device
	Contraindication to weight bearing on lower extremities
	Pressure sore in stage 2 or above
	Use of Colostomy bag (reviewed individually)
	Meets weight requirements for height (reviewed individually)
	A debilitation disease prior to the acute SCI that causes exercise intolerance
	Premorbid, ongoing major depression or psychosis
	Required use of anti-spasticity medication (reviewed individually)
	Inability to express the desire and focus needed to complete the program

** Please note that the above exclusions are used as a general guideline and may not disqualify you from participating in the SCI-Step Recovery Program. We will review each application individually.
