Age: 30 Hometown: Shreveport, LA Date of Injury: 7/14/2007 Injury Level: T12 SCI-Step Start Date: 7/7/2008 I am coming to SCI-Step to get intense therapy that will help me get on my feet. I was recently injured in a car accident and am now a T12 paraplegic. I hope one day to not be confined to a wheelchair permanently. I am a fighter and am not willing to give up the dream of walking again. I was always an outgoing person and still try to do as much as possible. I have a wonderful and supportive family who are always encouraging me. My wife and I were recently married, only 2 months when I had my accident. She pushes me and keeps me going more than anything. We have been together for 7 years and were starting our life together as a couple. There have been some tough times but none we haven't been able to overcome. I have been working hard in therapy with the KAFO's and my therapist is a tough one. I will do whatever I need to so I am able to walk again. There is nothing specializing in SCI in Louisiana and we have heard "ya'll are the best"! Favorite Quote: "Through HIM, all things are possible."
