Age: 32 Date of Injury: 7/23/03 Injury Level: C6/7 SCI-Step Start Date: 8/13/07 Joe was thrown from a mechanical bull, landing 8.5 feel away and landed on his head. He fractured C6/7. He is a single father of one, currently pursusing a secondary education degree. Since his accident, he has been committed to raising awareness for SCI, helping the SCI community and doing what he can to further paralysis research. Joe founded the Northwest Indiana Spinal Cord Injury Group to help facilitate this. He came to SCI-Step to optimize the recovery that he already has and to take home the skills to keep improving.
