Age: 50 Hometown: Methuen, Mass. Date of Injury: 10/15/1995 Injury Level: T3 SCI-Step Start Date: 5/11/2009 I am very happily married with two grown children. I am a theatrical lighting, sound and special effect designer. I worked for a very large production company prior to my injury. I left the company four years post injury because of neuropathic pain and the meds that go along with it. I started my own company so I could set my hours. I still suffer from "burning" pain in my legs. All in all, I have a very active life. I drive and take care of my daily needs, 100%. My wife is lead tech at an MRI so I am well documented in that department : ) I am coming to SCI-Step in the hope of regaining some mobility. Local PT is next to useless. Riding a bike or sitting in my chair, catching a ball is all it really has been. I have always felt that with some specialized therapy, I could gain a great deal of mobility or perhaps even walk but I am a realistic person. Favorite Quote: "Life is what it is"
