The SCI-Step Activity Based Therapy Program

In order to meet the needs of all those that can benefit from SCI-Step, we offer a flat hourly rate for our rehabilitative therapy. This allows us to create a custom program based on the specific components desired at our facility. Patients are able to choose the components, amount of hours and days per week and that is best for their schedule and training goals.

Insurance Coverage

Physical Therapy components at SCI-Step have been covered by Medicare, Ohio Medicaid, Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation and most major private insurance companies.  Prices are prior to coverage from these policies, if coverage is granted and the patient is responsible for any remaining balance.  Each client is advised to contact his or her own insurance company and verify insurance coverage eligibility.

Housing and Home Health Care Options

Let us take the work out of your visit!  We offer everything that you will need so that you can focus on your therapy program.

Two Bedroom/Two Full Bathroom Fully-Furnished Apartment Includes:

·         Fully Furnished Accessible Living

·         Large Bathrooms with a roll in shower and oversized tub

·         Two Car Attached Garage

 Additional fees will apply for long distance phone calls, internet service and pets if those options are needed.

SCI-Step has teamed with local home health care companies to meet all of your health care needs.  Please contact Michele Brock or mbrock@sci-step.com for more information or to set up services. They offer four basic packages to SCI-Step patients:

Basic Needs Option

This package is catered to those who do not need personal care but may need assistance in daily living activities such as personal drivers, errands with or without client, meal prep, housekeeping, pet care, etc. There is a one hour minimum on all packages.

Personal Care Assistance

This package includes assistance with all daily living activities  listed above in addition to, bathing (bed, tub, shower), mouth, hair and skin care, shaving, toilet, transfers, and medication per MD orders.

Skilled Care

In addition to both options listed above, this package also includes catheterization, bowel regiments, colostomy care, gastric feedings, charting and intake and out put.

Transportation Only

This package is for transportation to and from SCI-Step for therapy sessions.
