He fell about 50 feet into a pit, which left him paralyzed from the chest down. When he was told that he would never walk again, he pursued walking. Steve spent about 16 months initially in various rehab centers. He has continued to maintain his health the best he can by participating in weekly PT sessions, aqua therapy, acupuncture and anything else he can try. Steve spends a great deal of time meeting with various public officials in Washington DC to change bankruptcy codes for injured workers. His main goal is to change the law to protect injured workers who have been injured, from receiving settlements from companies that then file bankruptcy and liquidates the company. Favorite Quote:
